Research studies on eBooks and Apps for kids

findings from the Joan Ganz Cooney Center: 

Kids prefer e-books: an E-Book QuickStudy  observed 24 families with children ranging in age from 3 to 6 reading both print and e-books. Reading comprehension between the two formats was the same.

More apps for young kids: according to their iLearn II study  over 80% of the top-selling apps in the Education category of Apple’s App Store target young children rather than high-schoolers.
